APEX Technologies AP1000 Platform provides fast, accurate and flexible optical power measurements utilizing the AP3314 Optical Power Meter modules.

With high performance and a wide range of functions, the AP3314 Optical Power Meters modules are powerful tools to answer the user’s requirements. They extend the optical power measurement capability by offering two different power ranges, available with 1 or 2 inputs per module. The standard power range provides a measurement from -80 to +10 dBm. The high power range extends high power measurement capability to +33 dBm, and offers a power range from -60 to +33 dBm.

These power meters can be combined with the AP3370 amplifier module or AP3364 Optical Variable Attenuator module in the platform. Thanks to the power meter and the automatic regulation of the amplification or attenuation by the mainframe, the user can command an active power control to keep output power constant.

The display menu of the AP3370 power meters allows an overview of any other AP1000 modules. The operational parameters are easily accessed using mnemonic symbols, and simple prompts provide user-friendly operations.

Power Meters intuitive software !

For ease of measurement, the power meters software is really intuitive and can be used by novice as well as expert users. The user has the possibility to display one or two detectors simultaneously, to do the zeroing, to use the min/max (and percentage) function, to choose the power scale range, to display a graph of the power variation as a function of time and to modify the calibration in case of need.
